The Grand Jury respectfully present
that they have acted upon all bills hand
ed to thei by the Solicitoi ad have re
turued them into the court.

of court reconinneided that the Southern
Railroad be made to open a drain at th
place called the cutoff, near Saluda Old
Town. We fid that it has not been
done, and we recommend that they be
made to do this at once We also rec
ontinend that they be required to open a
suflicient '-.;ace between the railroad emn
bankment and _restle at Pomiaria to let
oil the water that acetuiulates there otn
account of the railroad embankment. We
recomtiended this at the last termi of
court, but find it was not lone.
As the present court has had its useful
ness severely interfered with by inconsid
crate action in regard to the laws for (raw
ing juries, we respectfully call the atten
tion of the court to this matter, and ask
that the protest of this Grand Jury be en
tered on the public record as protesting
against all such inconsiderate legislation.
We recoimeid that our clerk be paid
the usual fee.
