The crowds, however, are not as large as
last year, or- the year before, the Charles
toll exposition, we suppose, holding
bick somne of the people who will go there
instead of coining to Colltibia at this
tine. The grotuids looked deserted all
day Monday, and there wsere not many
uore here onl TIuesday, but on \Vednesday
the crowds began to arrive and the city
took on a fair-like appearance.
The exhibits are about the saie one
yearns the next, anid very few of the
people take any interest in thet. Still if
there wete no exhibits there would be

the exhibits get good rettrns. But the
great lajority of the people go to the
