The Court
T1he Common Pleas Court adjourned
late SAturday evening. A great deal of
equity business was transacted, but
only three jury cases were tried during
the week, the two railroad cases t,aking
up most of the time. The cases die
posed of were as follows:
GV eo. A. Langford, vs. P. S. and D). J.
Livingston. Verdict of $186.20 for the
21.plaintiff.
Mon roe Cooper, vs. The Georgia,
Carolina and Northern Rlailroad Com
pany. Verdict of $1,500 for the plain

Ella Cooper, vs. The Georgia, Caro
<lina and Northern Railroad Company.
<Verdict of $500 for- plaintiff. In this
c ase a motion for a new trial was made,
and the Judge stated that on the gro'unds
that the verdict was execesive, that un
less the plaintiff sh>uld, within ten
! days from that date, accept $250, he
would grant a new trial.

Contractor, Leslie has the foundation

shaft to the depth of 200 feet in order
