Nowhborry Defoatm Union.
The Union ball team arrived in the
city yesterday, and the first game of
the series of three games was played in
the afternoon at the park. The Union
boys are a clever set of ball twisters;
they play a good game and know their
business, but Ne wherry yesterday after
noon was jus.t a little too Strong for
them. The hoie team could have
easily shut the Union boys out in the
first game, but over-confidence cau-fd

The second game will be played this
afternoon, and it will be a hard fought
battle. The Union boys will play the
game of their lives this afternoon, and
they play a good game. TIurn out and

has never before had such sport as we

the people should show their apprecia
