Stole Grainh from the Fleld.
Sheriff Buford has in his custody
threo prisoners, negro men, who were
arrested on Wednesday at Prosperity
for stealing grain from the field of
Alasistrato -J. M. Wheeler, of No. 9.
The grain was stolen on the night of
the 12th-nino shocks of wheat and a
quantity of oats--and th wagon tracks
were followed and led directly to the
guilty negroes. They will be )ound
over to the circuit court.

The game yesterday was the best and
most ex-.iting game ever Phtyed on the
Abbeville ground. loth clubs played
great ball and from start to finish it,
was hard to pick the winner. The
only change in the Newberryi team was
the pitcher, Casa being in the '*ox.

hits meant runs, he could not keep the
heavy Abbeville hitters from rapping
him for singles and occasionally a two
