ject of missions to a large congrega
tion, at the close of which the Sacra

istered.

We attended the school entertain
ment at Johnstone academy abotut twvo
and a half miles east of Newberry.
Whten we reached tihe school house
which is a well constructed two-room
building, the exhibition was well uindler
way and coan tied three solid hours
longer. Trho sontgs, recitations and1(
dialogues were good and shtowedI clearly
that some splendld school work had
been doht'q in thIs community. Thue
teachers, Professor D). A. Kleckley and
MIss HattIe Leitzsey, have juist reason
to be proud of theIr pupIls who acquit
ted themselves so admnirabl,y well.
The stage was prettily decorated with
roses, cedar and rIbbon grass.
