ed and the recoimendations, which have
referred mainly to the Inatiageinent of
the college and the work dolne, were
idopted.
The board conferred the ionorary de
gree of doctor of divility uponl Rev. J.
W. I)aniel, of Abbeville, and Rev. W. W.
1)aiel, of Anaderson, both altinini of the
college it' the class of 1879 "A1 now lead
ing muinisters of the Methodist church.
I he sanme degree was conferred upon
Rev. Ebenezer Pressly McClintock, of
Newberry, who has been and is an ardent
friend of the college.
