A certain street in Newberry not over five hundred feet long has twenty seven children living in it-ages from four days to fourteen years. Miss Stella Dukes, of Howesville, S. C., is visiting her sister, Mrs. D. Tiller; also Mrs. Wm. Dukes and Mrs. Lizzle Holloy, of Rowesville. Mr. R. Clifford Banks has recently been elected principal of thc Mounti cello school, Fairfield County, S. C. Miss Anabel Johnstone has been elected teacher of the Dead Fall school for the next session. M iller h as decided to move to his farm near Ocala, Fla. lie will remain there one year, and if satis fled at that time, he wvill make that his home. Mr. A. C. Bedonbaugh was in New berry Tuesday. H- is many friends wore glad to see him and to know that he had sufficiently recovered from the hurt ho received some time ago as to be about, though ho still suffers. Mr. J. J. Lane returned this week from Harris Springs. He wvas ver-y much pleased while at the spring but had to come home to look after his large farming interest and those who have seen it say that he has 200 acres of the finest cotton in the State.
