"One Hlundredlth Anniverseary."
Our friend Col. C. J. Purcell cele
brated his ''one hiundredth anni ver

cent barbecue on Wednesday. The
reader must not judge from this that
Col. Purcell is one hundred years old,
for he is the youngest man in town for
h is years.
But the barbecue was a superb affair,
and the editor recgret.s it was imnpossi
ble for him to accept the invitation to
enjoy it on account of a previous eon
gagemenmt.
Th'ie cooking was sup Ier'intended by
thiat prince of caterers, JTames Dumnbar.
T1here were about seventy-five guests
presient andl we hope Col. Purcell will
live many years yet, and have anothler
hundred1 anniversaries.
Since 1878 there have been ninoe epi
demics of dysentery in ditferent p)arts
of thc country ini which Chamnberlain's
Colic, Chmolera and D)iarrhoea Remedy
was used wit,h p)erfect success. Dyson
1tery, when ep)idemic, is almost as severe
land dangerous as Asiatic cholera.
IHeretofore the best efforts of the most
skilled physicians have failed to cheek
its ravages, this remedy, however has
cured the most malignant cases, lothm
of children and adults, and under the
most trying conditions, which proves
it to be the best medicine in the world
for bowel comp)laints. For sale by
