Circulars of information may be obtained by applying at School Con nissioner Sale's office. Accidental Fall. - We regret having to notice the fall of Mrs. C. C. Chase from the piazza of her father, Col. Pool's houze, on Friday morning last. The accident was sustain ed while stepping on a loose plank, the distauce being between 9 and 10 feet. We are rejoiced to say that no serious results have been sustained. In this c-n nection we are happy in being able to add that her daughter who had been re noved from the Hotel to Col. Pool's house with a view to improve her health, and on whom she was in attendance at the time of her fall, is somewhat im proved. outhful Criminals. Coroner J. N. Bass held an inquest Tuesday over the body of Isaac Herbert, -who was about ten years of age,-at Eph Herbert's, near New Chapel Church. The verdict of the jury was that the de eased came to his death by hrowning at the hands of Henry Wilson and Will Roberson. The parties are all colored. Wilson and Roberson are boys, about 15 Dr 16 years old. They are In jail, and will be tried f,r murder at the approaching July term of Court. It seems that the boys were in swimming Sunday in the 3aluda, when Wilson and Roberson left their ten-year companion in ten feet wa er to himself. The ears were 3oon relieved of their contents, and head d by the line band and joined by the 5re companies of the town, the procession noved through the principal streets and reaching the Court House halted. The xcursionists were. then received by Jayor Johnstone and an address of wel lome made by Gen. Y. J. Pope. The place selected by the excursionists it which they would spread their dinner was Helena, and thither the vast crowd making its way, arrived by scores and-by hundreds, and occupied the day in va rious sports, not the least of which was a game of base ball. The day being line, and a seat being offered us in Mr. T. F. Harmon's new buggy we followed the happy party to Helena. Moving from point to point over the spacious grove, and without getting down from the buggy we wit nessed all that was done, the principal attraction being the Base Ball game. The players are fin, specimens of men, abounding in muscle, full of endurance and fleet of foot. The next feature was a banjo player, dressed a la Tourist, his fingering was cxcellent but his voice was muddy and his words indistinct. Sundry ice creaw. and lemonade-Le MaDadE-and ice cold cider dotted the grounds: one of these stands was pre ided over by a white man who enter tained his customers - by dancing and singng-not at all pleasing. Pistol galleries, box swines and other amuse ments helped to ma e up a rich day of frolic..
