Although all of the old cotton Is too far ruined for the rain to do any good, yet there .is a lot of late cotton and corn that it would help. Tle -people are having a fine time gathering thelir small crops-no rain to beat it out, but the sull is pretty hot. It doesn't look now like there can be one-half of a crop ma(le. What damage the drouth hasn't done the boll weevil has, but 'perhaps we will get a better price for what we (1o make. Mrs. W. S.
