Miss Virginia -Barksdale entertained
Saturday morning at an elaborate
party in honor of Miss Martha Owings,
ofbof the fall brides. The house wag
beautifully decorated in yellow and
white. After a nuniber of games of
Forty-Two a tempting salad course
was served. The guest of honor was
presented with a lovely piece of lin

Friday afternoon Miss Virgiia Sul
Ivan .gave a charming party in honor
of Miss Sarah Bolt, whose marriage is
to take placo next Wednesday. The
living and drawing room were thrown
into one and beautifully decorated in
cut flowers. The entertainment for
the afternoon centered around a con
test in ,which each guest was asked to
write an answer to the (llestion how
best to manage a husband. Reading
of the answers create(d much merri
ment after which a delightful salad
course with coffee was serve(. Miss
Bolt was presente'd with a dainty
piece of lingerie, and other fall brides
