'Columbus, Ohio, July 20.--Charges
that the Republicans were raising a
campaign fund "su clent to shock the
sensjbilities" were made tonight by
Governor Cox, Democratic president
fal candidate in an address to the na
tional committee :which perfected or
ganization for the campaign.
The Democrats, Governor Cox de
clared, will insist upon continuance
of the senatorial investigation of
campaign expenditures and also will
make freqjuent and detailed accounting
of their finances. The Democratic
platform he declared is "a iprornissory
note" which will be paid in full, clos
ing his lddress with a prediletion for
a November victory.
