War-. ren G. larding is a very respectable Ohio politician of the second-class. Ile has never been a leader of ien or a director of policies. For years a protege of Foraker, he ros eto a sub ordinate office by favor of "B1oss" Cox, of Cincinnati. Beaten by Judson Ilarmon in the contest for 1te Gov ernorship in 1910, he has never shown independent strength in .his own State save whenI he iwas nameiic for Senator in 1914, having a major, Ity of a little more than 100,000 over his Deiocratic competitor; and out side of Ohio lie has only such strength as he now derives from his place at the head of the Republican tcket. We all met 'lDr. and Mrs. Johnson in the parlors. Ice cream was served to ev erybody and we all had a very nice time. Yesterday .we had a nice trip to the poultry farm. Here we saw several hundred small chickens and lots of chickens about the size to fry. We saw how the chicks were fed and what they were fed. There were long lay ing houses for the poultry. Then we saw the eggs that had been gathered in, and the different incubators they Use. We have also been to the dairy farm. First we saw the now barn, which Is so nice and clean. Then we went out to -the lot to see the cows. They are so pretty and fat. After that we saw the house where the milk, cream, butter and churning are cared for. This is kept so nice and clear that I know everyone thought that no one could get sick from drinking the milk and eating .the butter handled here. The milk buckets were out in the sun. We saw the barrel churn and the separator. One hundred and tawenty-sik pounds of butter had jit been molded and was ready to be sent to the college. I can't tell you What all we have to eat. I just know that we could not wish or -expect for anything better. They sure have fine cooks. I shall have to come home Saturday, but I have not staid half long enough.
