South Carolina Development Board
opened a new headquarters in Colum
bia and announced its plans for a
f-tate-wide expansicn c3mpaign to se
cure an individual membership of
some thousands and an income which
will equip it to do the things which
its past record of achievements is
urging it to undertake.

Urges Growing of Hemp
Joseph Dixon, writing Governor
Cooper from New York, says hemp

put up in containers holding less than

sold in South Carolina
Dr. Hayne, state health officer, said
that in 19i12 the state board of heo~th
passed a regulation prohibiting the
sale of condensed skimmed mIlk in
Sous -r:.rolina in packages less that,
one gallon. The object, Dr. H-ayne said,
