Supt. of Education Wilson has an nounced the final examination for teachcrs' certificates to be held under the county board of education. The examination is to be held Satu day, Alay lst, beginning at 9 a. In. Mr. Wil son states that, due to the salary schedule prescribed by the legislature for first grade teachers, it would be well for all teachers hoding second and third grade certificates to stand this examination. Honored by Bar Association A. C. Todd, Esiq., of this city, was elected a vice president of the state bar association at its meeting held in Columbia last 'week and W. R. Richey, Jr., was elected on the local council, both being elected as representatives of the eight judicial circuit. W. D. Melton, of Columbia, was elected pres ident of the association.
