The new traffic ordinance and Its exectition by the police department have proven very beneficial to trafile conditions in the city. The side streets and even the public sqluare have been kept open for trallic and confusion has been largely eliminated, We cannot expect perfect conditions on the puh lie square, where congestion of on1e kind or another is inevitable, unless an ordinance is passed to prevent (ou ble arking against the court house curbs. An instance of what may be done In the South to keep money at home and to develop such business as has form erly gone to northern cities is found in the modern photo-engraving and cope-plapte engraving plant of Jacobs & company at Clinton. From a small beginning, this firm has built up a bus iness that extends throughout the United States and is bringing business to Clinton that has formerly gone to either the northern cities'or at least to one or two of the larger cities of the South.
