U. ice cream fetsIval and cake walk at
Mount Pleasant Saturday evening 1was

to be a success In every way. The

Mrs. Mealy Davenport has been very
ill for the past week and her condi

Lanford, April 26.-Rev. Miller filled
his regular appointment Sunday morn
ing. Mr. and Mrs. M. Miller,. his son
and daughter, very ably assisted in the
music wihch added very much to the
services. They were dinner guests at
the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. J.
IR. Patterson.
The Rural Iiprovement Association
and Home Demonstra-tion Club had a
very helpful meeting Friday afternoon.
A good iprogram was rendered and de
lightful refreshmeits were served by
the committee: Mrs. J. R. Patterson,
Airs. Ethel Lanford and Mrs. A. 11.
Holmes. Miss Daisy Harris presented
a demonstration on the proper methods
of table serving and formal table man
ners, etc. We appreciate her efforts
and are using her freely and will send
a delegate from our club to summer
school at Winthrop, if possible.
M r. C. 1). Cox is in Laurens this
week attending court as Juryman.
Mr. J. W. Johnson "went to Atlanta
Saturday on a business visit.
Mr. C. C. Cox left Saturday for An
derson where lie will be engaged in
business for several weeks.

sorry -to know that Mrs. Nealy Daven
1)ort, of Cold Point, is in a critical
condition.
Mr. G. A. MlcPherson has been con
fined to his room with rheumatism,
but is some better at this time.
Mr. Mills Davenport, of Greenwood,
came over Saturday night to see his
mother, ,who is critically ill.
The IB. Y. P. U. ice cream supper at
Mt. Pleasant on the evening of the
24th was quite a success, both socially
and financially. Every one present
enjoyed the occasion and more than
$75.00 was realized.
NMrs. Sue IPinson, of Greenville,
spent last week here with her mother,
Mrs. Ada MoPherson.
.\Mr. James 1. Smith has been on the
sick list for the past several days, but
is some better now.
Miss Annie McPherson, who is at
tending school at Laurens, was a week
end visitor to home folks.

together for life. Miss Annie is one
of our most lovable girls and looked
her best dressed in a beautiful cream
satin suit with flowers to match. Mr.
Price is a prosperous young farmer of
lodges, where, after a bridal trip, they
will be at home to their friends. We
extend to the happy couple our warm
est congratulations.
