(Section 1. That no person, firm or
corporation shall, after the first day of
January, 1900, engage in, prosecute
or carry on iany business or profession
hereinafter named, within the cor
porate limits of the City of Laurens,
without having first paid a special
license tax therefor. The amount of
said special tax shall be the amount
placed opposite each occupation, bus
iness or profession herein below
anmed, resiectively. and the amount
shaUl be the cost of said special tax
per annum. U nless otherwise specified,
