Similar services were also held at Bethabara at 7:00 o'clock at Mountville at 9 o'clock and at Water loo at 10 o'clock. All these services were conducted by 'Pastor J. G. Wil son and were well attended. These four churches have already gone be yond their apportionment in the 75 million campaign. Thanksgiving was quietly observed here in the usual various ways, prac tically all business stopping for the day. Whereas, petitions signed by a legal number of the qualified electors and frec-holders residing in Cross Hill school district No. 3, Laurens county, South Carolina, asking for an elec tion upoll the question of voting an additional 4 mill tax upon the proper ty in said school district, to be used for school purposes have been filed w%ith the county board of education, an election is hereby ordered upon said question. said election to be held on the 13th day of December, 1919, at Spring Grove school building in said district, under the management of the trustees of said school district. Only such electors as return real or personaly property for taxation and who exhibit their tax receipts and reg istration certificates as required in the general election shall be allowed to vote. Those favoring the 4 mill additional tax shall vote a ballot containing the word "Yl'S" 'written or printed there on. Those against the 4 mill addi tional tax shall vote a ballot contain ing the word "NO" written or print ed thereon. Polls shall open at the hour of 8 o'clock in the forenoon and shall remnain open until the hour of 4 W elock in the afternoon when they shall be closed, and the ballots count ed.
