COMING NEXT WEEK
Will play it Opera House One Night
Only.
Next Wednesday, Sept. 24th, "The
Hickory Nuts", the amusement com
pany of the 30th Division, will visit
Laurens, and that night will give their
performance at the Opera House. This
Is their second annual tour and they
are directed and lead by Captain Ir
ving O'Hay, who Is the originator of
this noted troupe of military enter
tainers.
Last year, before this noted division
left for France this troupe was organ
ized and gave a number of perform
ance before sailung, In many of the
cities of South C trolina. At that time
they gained a wonderful reputation as
a theatrical attraction. and this year
they have begu n their tour under bet
ter conditions and circumstances and
have a troupe of performers that has
left a la:ting impression in all the
(itits where- they have shown so far
this season.
"The Ilickory Nuts" are just what

else they are all star performers and
