Jeans-(ooper.
One of the loveliest home weddings
of the season was that of Miss Wal
lace Cooper and .\lr. Paxie Chalmers
Jeans, which occurred at six o'clock,
at the home of the bride on upper
Broad stteet. No cards were sent
out, and only members of the family
and a few close friends were present.
The lower floor of the home was
thrown open and decorated with a
profusion of pot plants and daisies
in a very artistic manner. The bride's
only attendant was her sister, .iss
-Bessie Cooper, who was lovely in a
gown of hand embroidered white
georgette and who carried Killarney
roses.
The bride looked beautiful in a
handsome coat suit of one of the new
shades of brown tricotrine, with which
was worn a blouse of georgette and
a becoming feather toque. Her flow
ers' were bride roses. The ceremony
was performed by Rey. 1. '1,. Grace, of
the First Baptist church, after which
congrvdtuilations wejre received, and
delicious refreshments were served.
Later the bride and groom left. for
North Carolina, and on their return
will be at home in Augusta.
Mrs. Jeans is the eldest, (laughter
of Mrs. Jamnes It. Cooper and since
dhildhood h-as 'lived in Augusta where
she has been loved and admired by all
who know her for her lovely nature,
her brightness, charm and personal
attraction. She has been one of the
faculty of the Training Felool for
Teachers at the John Milledge.
Mir. .Jeans was formerly in the jew
elry businers in Newberry, S. C., but
sold out his store when he ,oined the
navy. Since his discharge lie has
made his homii( here and is with Wi.
