OFFICIALLY ENDED
Officers Announce That Operators may
teturn to Work. Endurance Contest
Out of Question.
Now York, July 2.-The strike of
tho Commercial Telegraphers' Union
against the Western Union and Postal
Telegraph Companies was declared off
this afternoon, it was announced here
by Percy Thomas, deputy international
president of the organization.
Chicago, July 2.-The strike of teic
graphers which began June 11, was
called off at noon today by S. .1. Eon
enkanip, piresident of the Commercial
Telegraphers' Ulnion of America.
President Konenllkamp, who retun Ied
from Washington this morning, called
off the strike after le had conifered
with other officials of the union.
