NOTICE of the COUNTY TREASURER The Books of the County Treasurer will bo dpon for the collection bf State, County and Commutation Road Taxes for fiscal year, 1918, at the Treasurer's oflice fromh October 16th to December 31st, 1918. After Decem ber 31st one per cent will be added. After January 31st, tN ) per cent will be added, and after February 28th, seven per cent will be added till the 15th day of March, 1919, . when the books will be closed. All persons owning property in more than one township are request ed to call for receipts in each of the several townships in which the pro perty is locted. This is important, as additional cost and penalty may be attached. All able-bodied male citizens be. tween the ages of 21 and 60 years of age are liable to pay a poll tax of $,.00, except old sold!"rs, who are exempt at 50 years of age. Commuta. tion Road Tax $1.50 in lieu of road duty. All men now in military ser vice are exempt from road tax. Inc. * WATTS MILLS NEWS. * , *e *.*.* * Watts MIII, Jan. 25.-Quite a deep gloom of sorrow wns cast over our town on last Sunday when the sad news went out that .r. Clara Busby was not expected to live and sadder still our hearts were made on Monday, Jan. 20th. when the message came that she-had passe-d away. Mrs. Busby died alter a few days' illness of influenza, folow.ed by pneu monia. Her remains were laid to rest Jin the cemetery here on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The funeral service was' conducted by Rev. i. Iladock. :irs. Busby was well known and mteCh loved by all who knew her. To know her was to love her. She was 1known for her sweet, Christian char acter and affectionate, kind-hearted disposition, always being ready to lend a helping hand. She wIl be greatly missed by her many friends and Vso in the Haptist church, of which sne has been a consistent member and a faithful worker for a number of years. While it is hard to realize that she is gone front or nidst and our hearts deeply mourn her departure, iwe feel assured from the life she lived andl from 'the sweet Words of testitioniy from her lips, that ste is now at rest. reapiig her reward for her true faith ful ness here.
