Samuel J. Niqgholls was elected to Con
gress over lorace L. Ilomar by about
400 votes. In this county the vote
stood 1.181 for Nicholls against 1135
for Bomoar. Mr. Nicholls cirried [,an
rens, Spartanhurg and l'nion countics
while Mr. Boinar carried Gri'ecniville
county by a few hundred votes. On
nicount of the close vote in the (istrict
Mr. [lomar requested a recount and
this was granted.
