NOTICE' TO CONTIACTOlRS.
Notice is hereby given that on Tues
,day, the 16th day of July, 1918, at the
Hour of ten o'clock A. M. the County
Board of Commissioners for Laurens
-County, S. C., will at lLaurens Court
House, S.'C., receive bids for the cree
tion of a building for paupers at the
county poor farm. Tihe county will
furnish building materials, the con
tractor to furnish at his expense all
tools, labor and equipment and trans
portation for the p)rosecution of the
work.
All bids to be submitted in writing
to the Clerk of the Board on or before
the above named date and to be ac
companied by a certified check in the
sum of $50 as a guarantee that the
bidder will, if awarded contract, en
ter into written contract and give
satisfactory bond for the perforIanlce
thereof, within one week after accept -
ance of bid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.

near here last night. Though she had
been in ill health for some 1ilte, it
was only a day or two ago that she
suffered a Stroke of paralysis from
which she failed to rally .The body
will be buried tomorrow at Rocky
Springs Church, the services to be
conducted by Dr. W. S. Bean and the
R1ev. J. L. M\cebiI. .Mrs. Blakely was
a devoted Christian, a gentle Southern
womiant, loved and llonoer't by mlany.
The announcement of her death will
bring sorrow to scores of friends
throughout the State.
