Man for Senate.
To the Editor of The State:
This is the first time I ever penned
a line for publication but I feel It my
d1ty to present. Col. N. B. Dial as a
suitable man to represent this State
in the United States senate. lie is one
along the finest business mnci inl
South Carolina. I will endeavor to
mention a few of his t('ansactlons as a
business man. A few years ago, as
sisted by two or three other men, he
built the People's Loan & Exchange
lunk, which la a d!esirablc bulding for
any city or town in the State. lie also
built the oil mill In the town of Lau
rens. lie was one of the mail helpers
in building the old Laurens Cotton
Mill. lie also built the glass factory
in the city of Laurens. He built a
bonded warehouse of whichli he is
president.
IIcrc I say that he has :always been
a great friend to te farmer;. le at
wn, a ilded the farmers' conveni
tions of v arious kinds. ;i! assured the
farmiers that he was ever ready to
assist them in aniy way tliat lie could.
lie i n' ver advised the fatmIers to hold
threj ntion12 but always told them that
lhe had the wa rehouise to take cale of
cutoln for them and wouhil loan (lien
