been appointed' fuel administrator, for
Laurens by B. B. Gossett, state fuel
administrator. Mr. McCuen has not
accepted the place yet, but went down
to Columbia yesterday to find out the
prospective duties.
Judge in Fairileld Fair.
Supt. of Education J. H. Sullivan at
tended the Fairflold county fair, at
Winnsboro, last week -and acted as one
of the judges of exhibits. He went
donwn by automobile and was accom
panied by Mrs. Sullivan, Miss Mabel
Moore and Miss Genie Alken.
Ernest Branlett to Build.
Mr. Ernest Bramlett has purchased
from Mrs. Rosa 'Bramlctt the lot on
Jones street between the homes of Mr.
C. 11). Moseley and Dr. Vincent and
will erect a house for his own use at
an early daite. He has already com
menced preparations and expects to
have carpenters at work very shortly.
