deal of interest is taken in -hotter
poultry in the county. Judging in 'this
dep~artmienit was by that epert ptul
-tryupan, W. 'P. Stewart, of *Simpson
yilk. Mr. Stewart praised the displ1~y
very -highly. The displays of the Pine
Blufr 'Poultry Farm andi J. ir. ,PoiWe
'were part icularfy notowvorthy. The
colleetion 'of 0'h)ossum is, rabbits,
hounds -and bird dogs was rather re
stricted in number and comnparisons
were out of order on account of lack
of competition. One collie dlog,. one
setter, one -hound and two puppies con
stituted the bench show. All of them
got blue rillbons.
The ladies' department was the out
standing feature of the fair. The
county-wide interest in the conserva
,tion of Lood resources was manisfested
"'to a large degree in this department.
'The~ long tables and shelves in the
court room were burdened with piok
ies and preserves, fruita, vegetables
and edibles of every descri-ption, can
nod and iUncanned. Community oez
