Hundred Dollars in Liber
While the young men of military age
were yesterday registering their names
for service in the army If called out
by the president, a committee from the
live 'banks in the city was busy seling
1iberty Bonds to those who wanted
to "(1o their bit." inl helping linance the
war, a total of $12,100 in bonds being
sold by the conmmittee yesterday.
In the city of Laaurens the registra
ion is apparently complete, the total
being 216 whites, I allen and 330
colored. At Watts Mills the registra
tion was 170 andti at the Laurens Mills
the total was 80. Scattering reports
front all over the county indicate that
the registration was about complete.
No Instances were reported yesterday
of objections to registration.
The Liberty Bond committeelnen,
while staging a great sale yesterday,
have not colmpleted their task and they
are n11lxiouns to increase the ailoltlit at
ready sold by a great. deal. Those who
desie to bily bon(ds m3ay do so) by al
plying at any of' the balks of the ciy.
