The aim of this course will be to give training iII subJect mnat ter and the science of teaching. Any one desiring to take the State Normal Training Course for Teachers may be gin work at the opening of this sulin 11er school and continue in Septem ber until they have completed the eight month's course. Any teacher desiring to have a cer tilleate renewed will be required to take fotr subjects. Two of these sub jecis will be entirely elective. The other two will be selected as follows: 'Each teacher must take either Pri mary Mlethods or School imanagement, and in addition each teacher miust take oitber 10niglish or Mathematics. A very sad accident occurred at Yar borough's bridge on Enoree River Monday about 1 o'clock when .loseph Donnan, the young 11 year old son of Mlagistrate .J. W. Donnan was aceldient RIlly killed by his playimate, liillred IHill, of about the same age.
