London, April 22.-The British hos
pital shlip.s Donegal and Lanfrane, with
many wounded aboard, have been (or
pedoed without warning. They were
sunk on April 17. Of those on the
i'onegal 29 wounded men an( 12 of
the crew are missing. The Lanfrane
carried German wounded as well as
Blritish. Of those aboard, 19 British
and 15 Gernmans are believed to have
perished.

April 19 In the House of Commons
that -there had recently been further
losses of lritislh hospital ships, which
would be published soon. Today the
secretary of the admiralty issued the
following tateient:

while transporting wounded to 1ritish
ports. were torpetdoed without warn
lug. The Donegal -clid slightly
wounded cases--all i ti ish. Of these
