of the Suffragettes of Laurens takes
place in the opera house next Thursday
evening, April 12, under the auspices
of the Wednesday Club. The Suffra
gette Convention is the lineal descend
ant of the Old Maids Convention, of
sainlted memory, and is expected to at
tract as large a crowd and to create

semblage of single ladles in days gono
by. The roll of the convention is
drawn from the membership of the
