'xecu'ltive hoard of the 1l1ptist General
Convention, explaining the general':s 1
reason for not ermitting revivals in
the military cam, S here and along the
border. Nitnerous Blaptist conventions'
have adopited 'resolitions condemnintg
what they understood to have been the'
general', action, and suggestions were
m1ade that 'residetit Wilson, as com
mander in chief of the army, he asked
tol take offieial cognizanee of the mat
ter. A resoluittlo asking for informa
tion on Ile controversy also has been
introdneed in congress.
General Fniston gave out copies of
the letter to the press, in whlich lie
says i par t:
