the entire lynching matter is to be
aired In Abbeville soon. A few days
ago a Mr. Nash was here ad trav
eled thr-mgih the country, supposedly
to buy lond. He did not buy any, and
It now appears that h was taking
notes for an article to be printed in
the World, giving a full account of
the whole matter.
He has left, and citizens here are
expecting to see the article appear at
any time. It is known that W. P.
Beard, editor of the Scimitar, was of
fered a good price by several north
ern papers to send them a complete
write-up of the affai, shortly after
the occurrence, but he refused the of
fer.
A state deteteive is here, investigat
Ing the lynching for the governor. He
has interviewed many citizens and It.
is said to he accemulating evidence
upon which warrants will be Sworn

that two silbsequen t lleeitinugs were
held to offset the effet of the first

It is pointed out that the meeting
was a conspiraey to drive ' itizens
from home, and deprive them of their
constitutional rights.
Now Lookout,
When a cold hangs on as often hap
pens, or when you have hardly gotten
over one cold before you contract an
other, look out for you are liable to
contract some very serious disease.
This succession of colds weakens the
system and lowers the vitality so that
you :.re much more liable to contract
chronic catarrh, pneumonia or con
sumption. Cure your cold while you
can. Chamberlain's Cough Remedy
has a great reputation. It is relied
upon by thousands of people and never
disappoints them. Try It. It only
costs a quarter. Obtainable every
where.
