CitOSS HILL NEWS. Cross H1ill, Feb. 21.--On Monday, 14th, Mrs. A. R. Austin and daughter, Miss Kate, gave their Sunday school classes a Valentine party. Among the interesting games and enjoyments of the afternoon were the following: As each one entered the room a name was given hlin, pinned on the back, so that it was unknown to the one bearing it. The. interest came when each one was to guess his name froin some related question or remarks. Washington, Lee, Wilson, St. Valentine, Joan of Arc, Cupid, Caesar, and other prom inent historical characters were the names given and the guessing brought out the historical knowledge of the pupils. At five o'clock all repaired to the dining room which was lighted up by candles. They assumed places a round the table on the center of wi hl was a large heart cake. At. each place was a bunch of violets. One end of a piece of red ribbon wwas tied to the flowers while lie o' hr was colilected to a paper heart nieir Ile cake. On the paper heart was a nu i her. Ewelh drew a heart :an! as his number was called, cut a slice of cake. In the cake were a (ilie a rin , a I inble, and1( a but ton. The test was to see who could get one of iliese and so decide his or her fortune. FOR THE Spring Wardrobe SOF MADAM OR MISS RECENTLY PURCHASED, NEW AND BEAUTIFUL FASHIONS IN SUITS, DRESSES, WAISTS The New Spring Goods are priced lower now than they will be again this season. Most of our buying was done early in the year be cause we realized that all wearables were sure to go up in price. We are giving you the advantage of our fore sight: the pretty spring goods we now have will never be as cheap again as they are now. And in addition the dye trouble makes it very uncertain whether the stylish colors for 1916 can be duplicated. And so our plea is this: Buy now while the prices are low and while you are certain of obtaining the stylish colors. THE LATEST SUITS.
