Charles Hilliard and Local Players lease Audience at the Schoolhouse. The play, "Cousin Isabelle" as ren dered in the school auditorium last Tuesday evening by Mr. Charles Hil lard and a company of local players, was the hit of the scason. Those who witnessed the performance declare it one of the most attractive, entertain ing and mirthful plays that has been seen in Laurens in a long time. Mr. Hillard, who played the lart of Cousin Isabelle, acted his part In the finest fashion and proved to the ap reciative audienco that his much heralded reputation as an actor was a most deserved one. The local play ci's wIo assisted him, all played their parts in the best of style and every one won the applause of the crowd present to greet the young actors. The same play will be presented in Laurens again some time during the latter ipart of January. The exact date has not yet been selected. Mr. I lilard left last Mfonday for Clinton, where he has been engaged to give the iplay for the benefit of the schools.
