Miss Hattie Sullivan was the charm ing hostess at a party given at her home on South Harper street last Friday evening in honor of her guest, Miss Helen Woodside of Greenville. During the evening the guests were entertained with fortune telling Miss Alliene Franks playing the part of the fortune teller in a most attractive manner. The hostess served delicious punch, ice cream and cake. In Honor of MIss Iceman. Misses Sara Bolt and Mary Sullivan entertained most delightfully last Thursday evening complimentary to their guest Miss Molly Iceman of Monroe. During the evening the guests enjoyed themselves for several hours in conversation. Before their departure the hostesses served dell cious cream and cake and during the evening an enticing fruit punch was dispensed. 000 Misses Childress Entertain. Misses Arile Belle and Dess Clil dress entertained In a most charming manner last evening at their home on East Main street in honor of their guests Miss Florrie Langston and- Mr. Bub Langston of Darlington. During the evening the guests were arranged around ten tables and enjoyed several games of Fortytwo. During the ganes Misses Lucy' Vance and Claudia Darl ington, two of the season's charming debutantes, dispensed a delicious fruit punch. Thomas and Miss Daisy Belle Tolli son were married at the residence of the Rev. M. L. Lawson. Although this --* .'.e came as A surprise to their many friends a large crowd witnessed the ceremony. Mrs. Thomas was the at tractivo daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. 1. Tollison and is admired for her Ileasant disposition. Mr. Tonias is a )ol)ular and energetic young man and has made hosts of friends who will be glad to hear of this happy event in his life.
