Edgar Davis, of (lhe Baptist church preelied one sernion that was very edifying to all that heard it and was a great help in prafier and singing in the meeting. The Itev. Mr. Lamar scenied to have lost ight of everything but the work he was in, so much so that the remark a ade many times by parties dur' ing Ite meeting that they never licard such excellent preaching.
