Paris, July 2.-Gen. Porfirio Diaz,
former president of Mexico, died here
early tonight.
Gen. Diaz's wife, Senora Carmen
Romero Rublo Diaz, and their son
Poritrio Diaz, Jr., and the latter's wife
were by his side when the end came.
Gen. Diaz began to fail rapidly
about three weeks ago and while his
death was not unexpected, owing to
his advanced age and recent failing
health, the crisis came suddenly this
afternoon.
