Mr. .1. A. Walker died suddenly
last Saturday, the 291h, at eleven
o'clock. lie had Just fliished 10e1ing
a tract of corn when he was stricken

and lived only about ten' minutes. lie
was a tan well liked by all who
knew him1, of a quiet disposition, and
one who never spoke ill of his fellow
man. lie had Jsiut. turned into his
70h year being 609 the 10th of this
montIh. Ile was a gallant Confederate
soldier being a ieiber of Company
C, Third Battalion. lie was married
twice, his first. wife being 'Miss Sallic
l'Al by which union lie is survived by
