L. McSwain entertained quite a num ber of young people last Friday night at a llallowe'en party, in honor of Miss Cora Grifin. At the front door the guests were confronted by a large pumpkin ghost, Just 0>posite a witch held a broom over which they were forced to jump before entering. The guests were received by Misses Grifin and Turner who unshered them into the sitting room which was beautifully decorated with autumn leaves, puip kins and chrysanthemums. The color scheme was yellow and white. -One of the most interesting features of the evening was the cutting of the wedding cake. Miss Lizzie Griflin cut the wed ding ring and Mr. Luther Watkins the diamond. A delielous salad course fol lowed by hot chocolate was served.
