BY THE BRING YOUR Will Pay 1 Octs for Cotton Until BRING YOUR COTTON C IN NOW October 15tn, 1914 NNOW Realizing the financial straits in which the Farmers of Laurens County are placed on account the Low Prices of Cotton the Merchants of the City of Laurens assembled last Monday for the purpose of a concerted movement to do all in their power to aid the cotton growers all over the county. As a result of - this movement resolutions were passed and signed by practically all of the city merchants, offering to take in trade or on account a limited number of bales at a price of 10 cents per pound for cotton strict middling or better. The cotton must be bought direct from a grower and in lots of one or two bales from any one farmer. The number of bales to be bought from each farmer to be decided by the merchant. The Resolutions given below were unanimously passed and heartily endorsed by every merchant present. The names of the various merchants who agreed to help the cotton grower by this method are given below with the total number of bales they will take opposite their names.
