Columbia, May 27.-The itineraries
for the senatorial and State campaign
parties in their convass of South Caro
lina were announced today by Gen.
W'ylie Jones, chairman of the sub-com
nittee of the state executive commit
tee which prepared the itineraries. The
canvass for United States senators op
ens at St. Matthews on June 17th and
closes at Sumter on August 20th. The
canvass of the candidates for gover
nor and other state oflices opens at
Sulmter on .lune 17th and winds up
at Greenville on August 20th. The
first primary election takes place Au
gust 25ith and the second primary two
weeks later. The itinerary for the

Anderson, May 27.-Tho South 'Caro.

erans, met in Anderson this afternoon,
the meeting be called to order at 4:30
o'clock by Arthur L. Gaston, of Ches
ter, commander of the division. The
ih:st deliberations of the body were
conducted by J. W. Quattlebaum, com
mander of the Anderson camp and
then Col. Gaston was introduced. The
brigade commanders of the -First,
Second and third . rigade made a re
port in which it was seen that the
South Ca'olina division ranked well
with that of any other Southern State.
