Blease delivered two addresses, ;peaking at Whitmire, in the upper edge of the county 'aturday afternoon and at Willow Brook Park, In the west end section of the city Saturday night. Gov. Blease came to Newberry on Friday to attend a banquet given by the local lodge of Odd Fellows. The speakers at the banquet were: Grand Master Mendel L. Smith, Superinten dent F. A. Kline of the orphan home at Greenville:; Governor Blease and Mayor Z. F. Wright. The banquet was attended by about one hundred people. Col. '1,. It. Ault of Newberry, acted as toastmaster. In the addresses both Grand Mas ter SinIth and Stupt. Kline congratu lated the order upon the fact that the orphan home is now fre from debt.
