William Hulzor was today found guil
ty 'by the high court or Impeachment
on three or tho articles preferred
against him. They were articles num
bers 1, 2 and 4. lie was declared In
nocent or the charges contained In
article three.
Tomorrow be will be removed from
office, but not disqualified from hold
ing office in this state in the future
unless there Is a substanlal change
In the informal vote reported to have
been taken by the court on these
questions In secret session today.
Por the same reason it was ex peel
ed that he will be found not guilty on
tho other four articles still remaining
to be voted on when the court adjourn
ed tonight.
Glynn Chief tixecntlve.
Lieut. Gov. Martin II. Glynn. who
has been acting governor since the Im
peachment of Sulzer. will become
chief executive of the state, lie Is an
Albany newspaper owner. Kotiert F.
Wlagner, a New York attorney, will
become lieutenant governor, Ho Is
the majority leader in tbe senate.
Tint vote on articles one and two
was '.','.) to IS, a bare two thirds ma
jority. Tbe forlmor article charges
that Hie governor falsified his state
ment, of campaign contributions; the
latter charges that he committed per
jury in so doing.
The vote on article which charges
the governor bribed witnesses to with
hold testimony from tho Frawloy
committee, was unanimously in favor
of the governor.
The vote on article four was 111 to
II, six members changing their votes
oi? articles one and two from "not
guilty" to "guilty," and two from
"guilty" to "not guilty." This article
charges that the governor suppressed
evidence by means of threats to keep
witnesses from testifying before the

perjury.

vote not to disqualify him was said to

Changes in Other Articles.
Article six, which charges that the
governor committed larceny in specu
lating, was said not to have been sus
tained in the secret session by a vote
of f>0 declaring the governor "not
guilty" to seven against him.
Article live, which charges' that he
prevented a particular witness, Fred
erick li. Colwoil, from attending the
sessions of the Frawley committee;
article seven, that he threatened to
use bis office and Influonco to affect
the vote or political action of certain
assoinblytinen, and article S, that ho
corruptly used ins Influence to affect
the prices of stocks on the stock ex
change, WCro reported also to have
boon decided in favor of tin- governor

Presiding Judge Kdgar M. Cullon,
voted "not guilty" on every article and
redered a long opinion in explaining
bis votes. The other eight Judges of
the court appeals were divided. On
articles 1 and 2 Judges Williard Hart
lett, BJmory A. Chase, ami Win. K.
Werner voted for the governor, and
against him voted Judges Collin. Cud
deback, flogen, Hiscock and Miller,
making a division of five to four
against the governor.
On (article four. Judges iBartlott,
Chase and Werner changed their votes
from "not guilty" to "guilty" and
Judges Hiscock and Miller changed
rrom "guilty" to "not guilty" making'
against him a division of six o three.
