You do not have to be a subscriber to the paper to enter you child's name in the contest. RULES OF CONTEST 1. This contest begins October s, 1013, and closes December 6, 1018, at ? |>. m. 2. The Lau cms Advertiser will publish from time to time the standing of (he contestants. 8. Any white child under 12 years is eligible to enter this contest* I. The right is retained to alter the rules us occasion may re quire or settle all questions that may arise. 5. No one who is in any way connected with the I.aureus Advertiser can enter their children in the contest. 6. All territory with In (lie corporate limits of I.aureus will l?e known as District No. 1. All rural routes and (owns in Laurens und adjoining coun ties outside of I.aureus will lie known as District No. '2. 7. On December o, 1013, the closing day of this contest a com mittee of three well known business or professional men of the eitj not interested in the contest will be appointed to count the votes and award the prizes. This assures every candidate that their interests will be well looked after by local men (the names of the men appointed will appear in the 1.aureus Advertiser before the close of the contest.) If Mr. .(ones wants to help you notwithstanding that his subscription is already paid in advance, you mnj secure his renewal and we will date the subscription ahead from the date of the expiration of the present subscription. 10. Vou may take subscriptions from uny place in the United States or Canada without increase of the regular subscription rates, because jour child is n contestant in District No. 1, or No. 2, you are by no means limited to that district as u held of endeavor. 11. The vote scheduled will remain exactly the same through out (he entire contest. Turn in tour subscriptions and we will give a special vide coupon which can be voted at any time before the close of the contest except that no contestant will he allowed In any one week to vote otcr 10,000 ahead of the leader of the week before. In Gold will be awarded to the child residing in the district with the second prize-winner who has the next highest number of votes. In special prizes to he announced later.
