Moore, John Franks and J. B, Harmon attended the oyster supper and llower show at Owings Sta tion last Friday. Mrs. Lena Moore is visiting in Lau rens for a few days. Miss Carry Lou Higgins spent Sat urday night and Sunday in Laurens with Mrs. Eugene Ferguson. Capt. and Mrs. J. W. Lanford spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Fowler in the Warrior Creek sec tion. Miss Llllie Willis spent Sunday In Lanford. Mrs. Ophelia Fowler and Robin Pat terson attended the burial of Mr. J. N. Jackson at Warrior Creek Church Monday. Mr. Bill Compton, of Coronaca, spent Sunday night at Mr. W. D. Patterson's. Mr. Sam Thomas, of Spartanburg spent Sunday night with his mother, here. Mr. W. A. Thomas Is visiting his daughter at Calhoun Falls this week. Mr. B. W. Johnson and family wore in Lanford a few hours Sunday. Mr| L. M. Cannon has put a fresh coat of paint on his dwelling which adds much to the appearance. Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Orummond were shopping in Laurens Saturday. Mr. .1. Poland Willis spentSunday night here with his daughter. Mrs. T. R. Wolff. Mrs. J. S. Higgins was In Laurens Saturday shopping. Mrs. Will Wright Is quite sick at her home. Brainblctt of Fountain Inn were visitors here last week. Mr. and Mrs. Brainblett are former residents of Princeton and have many friends here who always welcome them hack. Mr. T. H. Carter has returned home after a visit to his daughter In Honea Path. Mr. and Mrs. \V. M. Woods of Honea Path spent Sunday here. Messrs Joel Bigby and Jonas Wash ington of Pelzer were the guests of Mr. J. A. Arnold Friday night. Mr. Kemper Senn left Saturday for Laurens, where he has accepted a po sition for next year. Mr. W. H. Carter spent Sunday in Honea Path. Mrs. W. H. Monroe and daughters, Margaret and Lillian, spent last week end with the former's parents, near Honea Path. Mr. Clyde Willis and family of Foun tain Inn visited Mr. M. B. McCuen a few days last week. Mr. Q. H. Ridgeway and family ex pect to leave Tuesday for Honea Path, where they will make their home in the future. Messrs. Mr. David Whlteford, Ninety-two Years Old, Dlea at Cross Hill. Cross Hill, Nov. 11.?Mr. David Whlteford died Sunday. Nov. lOtli. and will be burled at the Presbyterian cemetery today. Mr. Whlteford lived all his life about three miles from Cross Hill. He would have been !'U years old next Saturday. He leaves several sons and one daughter and a number of grand children to mourn. Mr. Whlteford had been strong and active all his life, until he suffered a stroke of paralysis a few months ago.. He lived to a good old age and It was Interesting to hear him talk of the times and people who lived here many years ago. Play at Cray Court. The Ladies Aid Society, of the Gray Court Baptist church, will give a play at the Gray Court-Owings Insti tute, Friday night. Nov. 22nd.
