our venerable friend Mr. Hugh Wilson
of Abbeville, ex-editor. Press and
Banner. He was looking remarkably
?well and we trust he may be spared
many years.
We are glad to know that Dr. Gard
ner Is convalescing and trust he may
Boon be restored to vigorous health.

The infant daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Thos. Crane died at Pelzer Fri
day morning. The little body was
laid to rest in the cemetery here on
Saturday. These young parents have
the sincere sympathy of the whole
community.
The preliminary oratorical contest,

school auditorium Saturday evening at
