Jones has sent I the notice bolow t9 The Advertiser concerning the School Lyceum for the coming season. It will be noted that all attractions come during the lat ter half oT the week and are conse quently most convenient for every body to attend. Judging by the attrac tions last year and the promises for this year the course for the coming winter will be an excellent one. On account of a connection which Mr. Jones has made with several other ed ucators in tbe state be has been able | to book souio unusual attractions for the coming season and at a much cheaper price .ban be could have got ten them otherwise. The following Is] what Mr. Jones has sent in to this office: School Lceuitt Course. The dates for our School Lyceum I Course have been arranged as fol lows: Byron W. King, Friday, October 27th. Cafereilt Concert Parly, Friday,] December 1st. Philadelphia Concert Party, Thurs day, December 21st. John Q. Skorer, Friday, January 12th Skovgaard Concert, Party, Friday, March 8th. Toronto Male Quartet, Friday, April 5th. We have secured six unusually strong attractions and we solicit the patronage of the patrons and friends of the school and the citizens of the town In making this the best attend ed of any of our Lyceum Courses in the past. It should appeal strongly to every one to become a member of the School Lyceum Course as It is being run this season not only In the Interest of tbe school but In behalf of the Civic League association as well. If there Is any profit made in conduct ing the course not a dollar of it will go to those mostly Interested In organ izing the course. 1'lease bear In mind tbe following: 1st. PriCe of a double season ticket] to all six attractions is $5.00. 2nd Price of a single ticked to all six attractions is $3.00. If a family has bought a double ticket a single] ticket may be bad for $2.50, to bo used] by the same family. 3rd Pupils' single ticket to all the] attractions is $1.50. 4th To those who do not hold sea son tickets the price of single tickets to each attraction will be 75 cents, children 35 cents. 5th. (And very important) No sea son ticket will be delivered to any one without first receiving the money for | It, If you have not yet joined the] Course, and desire to do so, please | send your name at once either to Mrs. Bennett. Doty, originally of Char leston but for the past few years a resident of Sumter, has become Inter ested In ihe Dodson Edwards Drug Company and has movd his family here to live. Mr. Doty has already taken up his work there and seems to be entirely pleased with the city. Mr. W. W. Lyles, of Anderson, has accepted a position with the Palmetto Pharmacy and began work there Mon day morning. Mr. Lyles Is a young] man of very pleasing address and will doubtless prove a valuable acquisition to the force at this store. Mr. P. I?. Farmer, whose former home was In the state of Virginia, has moved to Laurens with his family. He] Is the representative In the western part of South Carolina for the Tin plnnet Alley Company and will make this place his headquarters. Ho will Install theso amusment devices over this section of the State. The ally i that he has installed here Is already proving a mecca for pleasure seekers. Mr. John Moore, who has been sup erintendent of the Hartsvllle Cotton Mills, have moved to Laurens to ac cept the position made vacant by the resignation of Mr. A. C. Haskell. Mr. Moore Is a mill man of wide expert-'| ence.
