On last Saturday morning Miss Nan nie Bramlette delightfully entertain ed at a china shower for Miss Fannie Mae Wright, a bride of this week On the attractive porch were placed ta bles for progressive dice-hearts. Al ter a number of enthusiastic games a very tempting ice course was served. The climax of the morning was reach ed when Miss Wright was invited to the side porch and there permitted to draw from a cleverly constructed well the many and valuable gifts of china, ooo This morning at 8 o'clock Miss Fan nie Mae Wright and Mr. Chalmers II. Armstrong will be married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wright. The William E. Thay er, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. The house has been beautifully decorated in white and making way for the bride and groom into the parlor, will be the pretty lit tle ribbon girls. Sara Katharine Parks dale and Laurie Kennedy, both dainti ly attired in white with blue ribbons. The bride will wear a handsome tail ored suit of brown salin, with hat, shoes and nloves of same shade, and will carry a bouquet of bride's roses. Only the members of the family and a few intimate friends will be pres ent. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong will leave Immediately for a visit to the mountains of North Carolina. Escaped With His Life. Holding Seventh Annual Session Hero with Large Attendance. (Reported by L M. A. Myers.) The seventh annual convention of the Grand Lodge K. of P. among col ored people Is now in session in this city. The convention is being enter tained by Peerless Lodge of Laurens. The opening session was held Mon evenlng in the A. M. E. churc.h. B. J. Madden was master of ceremo nies.
